The Mountain Education Centre of New Zealand (MECNZ) has developed a unique mountain classroom amid spectacular views on the slopes of Treble Cone. The classsroom is used as the field training base for the Ski Patrol programme.

The location allows us to provide an extremely realistic training environment in the middle of New Zealand's steepest and most challenging ski field.

The classroom is accessed on skis or snowboard and provides a comfortable, heated, weatherproof shelter. It is equipped with weather stations, rescue toboggans, first aid equipment,radio repeaters, lunch facilities and basic ski tuning gear.
